I've been cheated on, but never cheated myself, and I agree with your views on cheating in general. Humans are just waaaayyyy too complex to draw such simple conclusions, as "cheaters are the scum of the earth" ect. There is always context. A backstory. Small misjudgements, that eventually become big ones.
Also, love your thoughts on coming-of-age media only referring to teens and young adults.
Hi Johanna! Thank you for commenting - you are the first person to ever comment on this newsletter without knowing me in real life. Definitely a milestone for me since starting this newsletter!
I'd love to hear more about your experience with being cheated on if you're willing to share (juliane@unmentionablespodcast.com). I want to discuss this more on the podcast that so far only lives in my head.
I so appreciate your honesty in writing. It gives me a small dose of bravery.
Duuuuuuude! Takes one to know one! I can't wait to read your schtuffff!

Wow! Your reply just made my rainy, dark and cold day so much brighter! I've been a reader of this newsletter since day one and I love it.
I'll definitely share my story!
Whaaaaat? How did you even find this newsletter? Also, can't wait to get your message about your experiences!! Thank you, Johanna!
“how it has allowed me to view people (including myself) outside our roles as heroes and villains“… this is particularly poignant for me this week.
Also, I laughed out loud when you called me a nosy fuck.
Oh man, thinking about you today, Verlyne. All the hugs. Glad I made you laugh :)
